John Paul II-Beatification-May 1

To a very good friend of this writer, John Paul II is already a saint. Unbelieving and nobody  believes her too, when she shared how he reached out to her..on the very day, God took him home ...it was a particularly dark day for her, she was sick, and had been for some time  etc...etc... , that day, not knowing that  he had passed on, in fact there was not even a trace of  thought about this man in her mind...but she remembers, a very strong urge to get into the Internet and she did just that...and there splash across the screen...the image of this man of God lying there , with such peace on his face, surrounded by the thousands who had gathered to mourn his passing on...As she gazed at his image, she had the odd feeling she was physically there among the thousands of mourners...And suddenly she was weeping ...as though her heart was breaking to pieces...she was in a state of deep grieve.....as though this man was a loved one...Really she does not know much about this man except  perhaps when others mentioned his name...or when his pictures splashed across the media...but she had read a book or was it an article ???? by this man,  Pope John Paul II, the leader of the Catholic community...Which was which???....She does not remember......but the contents  was about the Holy Spirit of God...the divine presence of the Holy Spirit of God in this current sphere of time....she read it and it had a profound effect on her,  ....but to continue the strange sharing.....Something extra-ordinary happened on that day, this very sick lady felt and heard a inner voice telling her to seek out the power of the Holy Spirit for her healing...That evening, she was drawn to visit a catholic church....mass was on...... One of the parishioners was passing a pamphlet  and the topic???? A Seminar of the  Holy Spirit which was to be held in another church premise the next day- two complete days...She was invited to attend........She went , there was a healing session....she felt the dark clouds dispersing....and  that was the start of her journey to recovery....

Somehow, even in that moment of his passing on...or rather when he had already passed on....John Paul II had managed to continue doing God's work...glorifying God.... reaching out to those in great need of God's love and healing. reminding and urging the sick and those whose strength were failing them, to seek out  the Divine Mercy - the Power of the Holy Spirit of God.... the Ultimate  Healing Power!!!!.....

Is that Possible???You decide People!!!!

Light & Salvation-Psalms 27

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?

When evildoers assail me, uttering slanders against me, my adversaries and foes, they shall stumble and fall.

Though a host encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident.

One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after' that I may dwell in the house of the Lord, all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.

For He will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; He will conceal me under the cover of his tent, He will set me high upon a rock.

And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies round about me; and I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the Lord.

Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud, be gracious to me and answer me! Thou hast said,"Seek ye my face, my heart says to thee, Thy face, Lord do I seek, Hide not thy face from me....

Teach me thy way, O Lord; and lead me on a level path because of my enemies. give me not up to the will of my adversaries; for false witnesses have risen against me, and they breathe out violence.

I believe that I shall see the goodness of the Lord, in the land of the living! Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; yea wait for the Lord!

PSALMS 27.

Amazingly beautiful! The BIBLE has all the unspoken words from the heart, directions , answers ,promises and reassurances,  to every situation, we face in life's journey!

I  waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me from the desolate pit , out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, and a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.

INDEED! INDEED!!! GLORY BE TO GOD!

PSALMS 64

Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint; preserve my life from the dread of the enemy, hide me from the secret plots of the wicked, from the scheming of evildoers, who whet their tongues like sword, who aim bitter words like arrows, shooting from ambush at the blameless, shooting at him suddenly and without fear.They hold fast to their evil purpose; they talk of laying snares secretly, thinking, Who can see us?? Who can search out our crimes? We have thought out a cunningly conceived plot. For the inward mind and heart of a man are deep!

But God will shoot his arrow at them; they will be wounded suddenly.Because of their tongue, he will bring them to ruin; all who see them will wag their heads. Then all men will fear; they will tell what God has wrought, and ponder what he has done.

Let the righteous rejoice in the Lord, and take refuge in him! Let all the upright in their heart glory!

PSALMS 64

A Salt or Two

If poverty could kill, it is the humiliation, others heap upon you, breaking you to do their will, forcing you to swallow, their bitterness in the name of survival.

God is watching, and He shall surely rebuke such wickedness   and send His strength to uplift you!

This journey is not all about ourselves, but sharing  goodness with others, that the Book of Life is adorned with your good deeds and your footprint shines upon the sands of time!

Dear God, even if darkness should fall, multiply  the stars of Heaven, to light  up the skies and brighten the earth....and Thy  Holy Presence , Lord  ..usher  absolute courage and confidence. every single step, that I  take...

No to Wedding Pics in the Nude

Weddings and marriage  are meant for keeps.. Once in a life time experience...That was how we were brought up to believe. Wedding pics were often demure and classic, meant to last a life time and beyond as memories.....

Over the years...couples got more adventurous and they had come up with  some very flashy Bollywood and Hongkong style photographs and they were so pretty too...No complaints there.....

Now, they are talking about naked display on picture frames to remember their big day???! Unbelievable but so happening now! What would they do- if ten, fifteen years down the  road and their sons and daughters were to pick up their "memorable wedding photos" and see their parents in such exotic poses????. My,  sexy ***********  Ma/Pa! Or their friends for that matter...chanced upon  those pics and pass some very saucy remarks......How would that child of theirs feel????And there goes their self respect...and the dignity of their hapless children....This is so not wise...and who knows what elements might hit  them  later on in life just because of that foolish act?????? ...Perhaps this writer is awfully old fashion, but to her.....what is private should be kept private!!!

Good Spices

Yours Truly was catching up on her reading when she came across, an Q & A  interview  article -  two people  had written a book about taking the soul to work......the importance of  liking your job and how to rise up to the challenges of stress and toxins from the work place.... and she thought,...yes, that is relevant......the nine  crippling toxins that exists in every work environment....., the envy, the jealousy , the anger, the greed.....rising to other cancers   and it sort of churn her own  thoughts .....

In her own journey through the corporate corridor, she has had her fair share of  envy, jealousy and maliciousness thrown  her way......but she was fortunate,....she had wonderful supportive friends and  associates  who constantly motivated and uplift her; her bosses thought well of her and had always stood as mountains behind her and nasties were often defused and thwarted before, they got out of hand and for that she had always been grateful. She gives credit to the Ever Seeing Power from  above . But she had also seen many  promising  careers  destroyed when envy strikes....Out of jealousy , and greed.......maliciousness reared  its ugly head.... The  envious person-became a poisonous aggressor - going all out for the killing blow.... slander, sabotage , you name it.... placing all sorts of  obstacles in the path of the victim.....others would be "persuaded" to turn cold shoulders on the victim,with clear  intent of driving that subject out of the organisation...sometimes even the bosses were convinced....why? because the victim, unable to swallow the injustice and bad treatment.....lashes out and fall head long into the deep pit dug by the aggressor, leaving her no choice but to make an exit. Exactly what the aggressor wants!

But, YT also came  across "victims" who rose to the challenge ....ultimately taming the aggressor, even wining his friendship....As she read the article, her mind goes back to those occasions when "victims" became the victor and yes,  they were always people who were on the right track, maintain decency, self control, always well prepared and on ready mode .....they go about their business full of confidence and .......always with a smile on their faces....Good spices for  2011,  ya, perhaps,YT will add some of those uplifting   spices into  the food she cooks to bring the vitalising  flavours and oomph  . back .into her autumn career....And If you are thinking of doing the same, folks,  remember to add in  the Most Important Ingredient....God ...That way, you will not only do well but have peace as well.... Oh yes! Brush up your skills..and tone up  your As and Qs!!
