Confession, Reconcilation . just for the sharing

source-internet
He that coverth his sins shall not prosper but who so confesses and forsake (them) shall have mercy.
Proverbs 28:13

And what does John 20:23 teaches us?

Confessing of sins -the Catholic way

If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained." John 20:23.

Not every one has Batman around them, but they do have their conscience to put them in the correct preceptive. Are you plagued by cancer of the innermost kind...that your entire system is now clogged up and you are unable to function rationally?

This is the season to unload and clear those dreadful toxins ,from your system.Get cleanse. It's not unlike your yearly festive spring cleaning...After the ritual of cleansing-the house is now sparkling clean and presentable and you are ready to receive your guests.

Freeing  your spirit and soul from the burden of guilt , pain and sin, works in a similar manner, only at a higher level. It uplifts you and allow you to move on and continue living  meaningfully and in good health. Health is wealth, never forget that!

Remember though to follow through with acts of repentance and reconciliation -the  people you have wronged. After you have carried out your penance, after acknowledging your sins and seeking forgiveness from God, don't go back to what you were doing -don't pick up your hammer and continue your bashing.  With reconciliation comes peace.

A large part is  forgiveness.  Are you ready to forgive your tormentor and yourself?  Yes,  for allowing yourself to sink down the pits of despair, for not having the courage and capability to rise up above the challenges.

Only you can decide whether you want to be healed or not. The freedom of  Will gives you the choice. Only you can decide if you want to  emerge a new person-a beautiful butterfly from its cocoon or a dunk insect, unable to fly out of imprisonment..  The Physicians are there, the tools are there, the listening ears are in place...They have even installed  extra large Flushers to flush away all your yucky yucky...Guess who has to carry those bad eggs and dump them into the Flusher   for you????

Best of luck with your unloading  guys! Be there early. Make sure you clear all those cob webs ,dust and make clean   your innermost chambers!! Get those  ugly weight off .your back and shoulders,.you'll look better in your  clothes!!

Do not steal and plunder from your neighbours

Woe to him who gets evil gain for his house, to set his nest on high. Habakkuk 2:9
We are but  travellers in this Land of Dreams- the Planet of Illusion and Sin. Why take and steal from others to fill your house and your nest? Why  deprive others  what is rightfully theirs? Can you take with you all the treasures and wealth you wrongfully amassed when you reached journey's end,  when the time comes to discard the worn out frame and return to the source?

Strength in Sincere Friends

Two are better than one.......for if they fall, one will lift up his fellow......And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him. A threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Ecclesiastes 4:9
Unity and friendship is vital in a human world where strife, discontentment, jealousy, backstabbing, deceit and rivalry is  the way of life.

When you are down, there is a shoulder to lean on, someone to hold a torch for you........Another's sincere care to  uplift you; when others plot and war against you, someone is there to speak for you, support you-another's presence lend strength and deter the  onslaught of hurt and harm against you.

Never think, you can be a stand alone, an island and survive well. Remember even islands have plenty of  life forms  in them and around them!

Chastening is good

Those whom I love, I reprove and chasten; so  be zealous and repent.
 Revelation 4:19
Chastening and  perfecting is born out of love, never hate, so take heart, appreciate the instilment of good values, the teaching of  good culture which adds worth to life's journey-A gift to pass on from father to son and to their sons.

Missing the Mark

Gone off course...missing  the mark.. meandering, adding your own colours, , doing what is contrary to  popular beliefs. Is that right or wrong? Is that sin? . It very much depends on the NOW definition, the circumstance, the situation and the need.

Missing the mark  may mean one thing in our beautiful yesteryears, but  today, the definition has moved with the times- the advancement, the development of the K and the Y. Most old time traditions and values  had been redefined as baggages and unloaded as people sync with the new beliefs and new values ..

So  what is defined as " missing the mark"? What is classified as  " an immoral act transgressing against Divine order/law.", in the NOW context??What and where is THAT mark, the precise point of  contention and discernment?

To straighten is to create beauty.

Discipline your son while there is hope; do not set your heart on his destruction. Proverb 19:18

The people of this technology era think, love is , giving in to the desires of their children unconditionally, allowing them plenty of room to disregard  valued ,teachings  and wisdom built of old .

They do not invest time to guide, to teach right from wrong. They do not spend time developing and moulding good character, instil good family values, respect for their elders and others in their lives. They do not equip their children- the valuable tools to cope with life's many challenges- having the abilities, the strength, sound education and good upbringing to live worthily.

It is a long journey ahead for them and for you!! Do not mistaken complacency  and selfishness on your part for Love!~!

LENT - Fasting for a cause

ISAIAH 58 6:9 cries out with a message...What is fasting in the sight of God, one which will gain his favour-the type that Lord wants..
Fasting is not all about abstaining from food and meat.   It is about doing good, charity, kind deeds..freeing the oppressed, cancelling debts...showering love and care - the words of Is.6-9

This is the kind of fast  I’m after:
to break the chains of injustice,

get rid of exploitation in the workplace,

free the oppressed, cancel debts.

What I’m interested in seeing you do is:

sharing your food with the hungry,

inviting the homeless poor into your homes,

putting clothes on the shivering ill-clad,

being available to your own families.

Do this and the lights will turn on,
and your lives will turn around at once.
Your righteousness will pave your way.
The God of glory will secure your passage.
Then when you pray, God will answer.
You’ll call out for help and I’ll say, ‘Here I am.”

Sow the wind and reap the whirlwind.

For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind. The standing grain has no heads, it shall yield no meal; if it were to yield, aliens would devour it..Hosea 8:7.

You have ploughed iniquity, you have reaped injustice, you have eaten the fruit of lies...Hosea 10:13

This Biblical warning spoken in context of Israel  and yet  reflect- its implication  to people of modern times. Observe-the dirt level people are willing to stoop to  - for money, for prestige..for power. They steal from others...they slander, they stab and they murder .without conscience and a thought for others.  What you see around are EGO-I,  I, and more  I!!

This  plague-the loss of conscience, reasoning, rationalisation ,the bashing of  the good  in  human nature is so widespread in today's living ..that  goodness had long flown away- ousted for the glory of the flesh...and the greed of self possession. God has become mere lips for appearance's sake , not the faith, the belief, the heart , the soul,  and the reverence. Remember...you reap what you sow-DISCERN .

And again, in the context of achievements...harvest depends very much on what you sow and where you sow  those seeds. Sow on rich grounds...and you shall  reap good harvest. Sow the wind -and , you reap whirlwind.

Marriage

The makings of a marriage are love, passion , the desire to belong to each other for a lasting union and beautiful visions of a lovely home.

The success of a marriage is -life long trust and belief in each other, come rain or shine-respect, tolerance, compromise and plenty of caring- living up to the full commitment  -the  shared responsibilities of twosome and  family living.

When the hot desire of the flesh has simmered down, you find peace and joy, in the caring championship, in the togetherness of  walking the ageing paths together.
