5th Biennial General Meeting-Senior Citizen Ministry-OLL

It was the 5th Biennial General Meeting of the Seniors Ministry at OLL, last evening-6th October 2013.  Evaluation time for the committed  working team. The result? A whopping stay on for the previous team. They have all done a very marvellous job ! Why would anyone want a change! It is a 100% stay on!! We see a couple of very popular people voted in as well! Congrats Team, you are the best!

Let's thank the Parish Priest for his presence. He makes this meeting  so wholesome. The support from you guys makes this day the success that it was! It is good to see seniors so active and so alive!!

Fiction or truth?

A little story just for variety ...

Rob no one by violence or by false accusation and be content with your wages.Turn away from all kinds of theft ,rob no one of  what is rightfully theirs,  credit  for their hard work ,  the just reward of their knowledge and skills. The implications of " Do not covet " becomes clearer. 

Daylight robberies of minds, skills , knowledge- the energy essence  is an everyday occurrence in our part of the world and  this type of robbery is many times worse that those out in the streets , because they weaken your life line , they empty your brains of your essence. You become a zombie, someone with just half your mind and essence, while the invaders get away with your knowledge and skills at their leisure and will. They have coveted the wealth of your essence. They become revitalised with your energy. You become a pale shadow of your former self. This is the new form of slavery  which is happening right now. This is the new type of sufferings, which  makes you appear insane, and poor in spirit . This is the new toy, people are playing with  now -power of the dark forces to do evil and to covet!!.  

Story...story...story...IS IT???

You carry me over tough terrains

I lead them with cords of compassion, with bands of love and I became to them as one who eases the yoke on their jaws, and I bend down and fed them . Hosea 11:4

When the terrains getting tougher and the mountains higher, who carried you over those rough patches? Who enable you to see the dawn of another sunrise?  Who soothe you, who gave you healing balm to heal your weaken spirit and body that your staggering ceased and you walk steady and strong? 

Look up and give thanks and pay homage to Him who always keep  you in his sight!

Say Yes instead of No to Parents

The  No  word, children's favourite vocabulary  in the home front. Before even hearing the question asked, that word is uttered. A radio station was speaking about this issue..:when mum ask the )::"would you like to help me" "go with me" "spend some time with me " ):  more often than not, the answer  she gets is always a big , big Yawn. 


Time to say yes and say it more often because, one day you will not be able to say the yes word  and then regrets will be a permanent fixture in your mind: " I wish I had done this.....I wish I had spent more time"  extra...

I thought that was wonderful advice...Say the yes word more often to people who cares and are always there for you. Do not take them for granted! 

The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad, the desert shall rejoice and blossom..Isaiah 35

YOU are the potter, we are the clay

Shall the potter be regarded as the clay? Isaiah 29:16

Do you think you could hide from the Lord the things you do in secret and in the dark? Do you think no one can see you and know of your doings? 

God moves in mysterious ways. All will know and see His might in their own way and in their own time, both the positive and the negative. 

Steadfast Trust

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; he bestows favour with honour. Psalms 84:11

And I a  journeying pilgrim, looks in thy direction and fill my heart with steadfast trust, your chosen paths for me - the wisdom of your timing for the colours and beauty of life's essence. 

Breath of God

In him we live and move and have our being- Acts 17:28-for we are indeed his offspring.

Be conscious that Life comes from God, we are a part of his living breath....if He takes it away , we return to dust and are no more.

Agree with God and be at peace; therefore good will come to you. Job 22:21

The vital  crucial step to attain happiness.

In God's Hands

If we need to boast, let us boast in glory of God, for what have we, that comes from ourselves??. What we enjoy is not from God?? 

Every achievement is a blessing pleasing in His sight,our daily happiness, a loving and caring gift. Let no man arrogantly glorify self, for he  is nothing without the might of God. Know and accept  that everything is in the hands of God.
