It's Official! ! Rev Michael Chua appointment to OLL, Klang!!

His Grace (HG) Datuk Murphy Pakaim
Two very marvelous happenings at our Lady of Lourdes Klang this evening.  Father Michael Chua was officially appointed parish priest of OLL. The Arch Bishop, HG Datuk Murphy Pakaim  himself was on hand to receive Father Michael 's pledge- accepting his responsibilities as the good Shepherd to the parish of Our Lady of Lourdes, Klang. And  we were proud to be witnesses, to this  happy occasion  Rev!!. Congrats !!

The parish was already  honored with  the presence of HG the Arch Bishop;  imagine our pleasure when HG so humbly presided over mass AND  Homily! Simple with no airs around him. Endearing!!. It is not everyday, the parish gets a shower  of wisdom from the Arch Bishop himself  and this day, we were blessed when he so ardently reminded us to keep our faith steadfast through good and not so good times....for is not the  Lord  always with us;?? The  gospel of St Mark recorded the Lord's power and authority over demons. As humans, we are often plagued by  demons created by our own minds, and our own human weaknesses..We need strength, we need healing!!

Upon reflection, this blogger was also reminded of how the Lord  calmed the storm and stilled the seas......Those of us, stricken by any form of chaos and life's struggles..  take heart....find refuge in our Lord God, allow His powers to shower peace and calm upon our life's journey, that peace blesses our every footstep. Is there anyone out there, who had never been  troubled by  journey's  fatigue , weariness and uncertainties ???  We are people of His pastures and His face is inclined towards us.....Therefore take  courage and find confidence, brethren! ...The Lord is  ever ready to embrace us....those who has need of Him and BELIEVES in Him.......

This Blogger for one appreciates this much needed reminder. It is so  easy to talk about faith, but really, not so easy to keep faith! We require nourishment to nurture, protect and  keep our faith  growing that it does not fall victim to the hot sun which could very well scorched and stifled the life out of our  faith! Brethren, no matter how strong our faith, we remain vulnerable right till the call comes. Constant good food and the waters of life keeps us strong, and capable of fulfilling tasks expected of life's journey!! Keep the light shining bright oh, God!!

Guys, by all means, celebrate our  chinese culture, be proud of our culture, but remember, all things comes from God and it is from Him, we get to enjoy all festive and all good food.  Acknowledge and give thanks to the  Lord God for his goodness, love  and  great providence. !!

Bukit Tinggi Get a Way.

 Enjoying a game of cards
Great and fun way to celebrate Chinese New Year away from the hustle and the bustle of city and home, just close family members and siblings, Where better than the Berjaya Hill Resort. No-one to disturb the cosy togetherness except our friends the monkeys, the birds and the bees!

Cool air, so what could be better than rounds and rounds of Steamboat delight?? My sibling swept out the whole of Tesco and the fresh market to feed the whole lot of us! The Mee Suah was great too!  Thanks yah!! God bless!!!

Chinese New Year Mass-Our Lady of Lourdes Klang

A lovely  Chinese New Year Mass. Full presence of all three priests!!
We are so blessed.  Both parish priests, Father Michael Chuah and Father Surian,  took great pains to incorporate Mandarin into many  parts of the CNY Mass; it was lovely,  touching, the special efforts our parish priests made to  reach out to the Chinese parishioners, the Cindians, Eurasian Chinese etc..all who celebrated Chinese New Year, on  this very joyous day. If one may comment, red suit does become our Father David!

To the many  non Chinese parishioners who graced  the Chinese New Year Mass on Chinese New Year Day- Guys, you people were great and many of you  in red and  festive dress up, too. Wow!

This blogger, cherish the prayers and blessings which comes with the Chinese New Year Mass. She believes and trusts in the prayers-the  confidence of receiving the showers of blessings which comes with a Eucharistic mass  specially celebrated for a new year. To her it is important to come before God to give thanks and then entrust  everything into his hands at the start of a new year. The gospel reading could not have been more appropriate.....the Lord's advice could not be more timely.......“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. ....entrust everything into the hands of the Lord God. He cares for  us. If you believe the Lord has blessed the whole year for you,  you walk in blessed paths! Again, have a great year ahead  brethren!

A Call to serve God

Speak Lord, Thy Servant heareth.
1 Samuel 3:10

A passionate call has rung out for fishers of men.
Is God calling you?
Be calm, be still,
Open your ears, your heart!
You who has the calling!

Listen ....Respond!

The team from the Diocese under the shepherd ship of Rev Christopher was at the sunset mass of Our Lady of Lourdes, last evening, with the precious Invite A  new life in Christ.... total devotion to serve both God and His church. Has God called you, as he had Samuel?

The harvest is great but the labourers are few .....Matt: 9:37

Young People! Do you have that special calling to be fishers of men? Are you one of the special  few chosen to help the Lord tend his sheep and look after his pastures???

This year, the SCM  in walking with  the Lord, invited thirty two Myanmar migrants to the event." Come , sit with us and partake of the goodies set out for  the evening"! Seventeen Myanmar children took to the stage and kick start the evening's program, serenading the Seniors to some very catchy Myanmar numbers.... wowing the seniors with their beautiful vocals and gladdening the hearts of all present.

To the delight of the seniors, the night's  entertainment continued with  popular Elvis hits and evergreen oldies, each number belted out to roars of  approval, claps and whistles from the crowd. Last evening had a crowd of  active, participating young at heart  seniors, singing along with the entertainers, clapping  and   tapping along with the rhythm. Almost gives one the feeling,  that if there were more space, all of them, seniors would be up dancing and  swirling along with the music! Fun!  Spring  was certainly in the  air!
