A lovely Chinese New Year Mass. Full presence of all three priests!!
We are so blessed. Both parish priests, Father Michael Chuah and Father Surian, took great pains to incorporate Mandarin into many parts of the CNY Mass; it was lovely, touching, the special efforts our parish priests made to reach out to the Chinese parishioners, the Cindians, Eurasian Chinese etc..all who celebrated Chinese New Year, on this very joyous day. If one may comment, red suit does become our Father David! To the many non Chinese parishioners who graced the Chinese New Year Mass on Chinese New Year Day- Guys, you people were great and many of you in red and festive dress up, too. Wow!
This blogger, cherish the prayers and blessings which comes with the Chinese New Year Mass. She believes and trusts in the prayers-the confidence of receiving the showers of blessings which comes with a Eucharistic mass specially celebrated for a new year. To her it is important to come before God to give thanks and then entrust everything into his hands at the start of a new year. The gospel reading could not have been more appropriate.....the Lord's advice could not be more timely.......“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. ....entrust everything into the hands of the Lord God. He cares for us. If you believe the Lord has blessed the whole year for you, you walk in blessed paths! Again, have a great year ahead brethren!
