God holds our Destiny.

The fastest runner doesn't always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn't always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry and the skilful are not necessarily wealthy and those educated don't always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time. Eccles:9:11

Some of the wisest bible readings are from the book of Ecclesiastes. At least that is what I think so. I have travelled a long while and have seen  many strange things. Some of the poorest and least educated men have risen up to the top of the ladder and have built mighty empires while those who have the finest education in the land are struggling for their survival, living the life of simple wage earners dependent on the generosity of their bosses, less educated or skilful than most. Some people have got it so easy and yet those who worked so hard, finds success and good life dodging them at every turn. And they are not bad either. Sometimes, they are wonderful people. What is the reason for this? I'm drawn to another Bible readings See and read it for yourselves and reach your own conclusion:-

1) Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the
guard stand watch in vain.(Psalm 127:1)

I understood this to mean that if our God- our Creator and Author did not write   good favour and fruitfulness into our life story, we would just labour and desire on in vain. Nothing comes fruitfully, unless He favours, unless, it is His will. Forget about what religion, you are a part of. The point is, there is a Supreme Being up there who creates us and he has decided what our life journey is all about. Many people have turned to prayers and could testify that prayers  do work to ease hardship and bring some light into the gloom of their lives. After journeying a long time and now in my autumn, I still find life baffling. There are so many things, I desired to do and have put my whole heart and soul into it.To me, it is like, one must fulfil one's purpose in life. I furthered my education late in life to improve on my skills, just so I could achieve my agendas-you know, being able to survive through your own efforts. I was so ill earlier but prayed hard for a recovery and now recovering. God has His own plans which will always remain a mystery until He uncovers it. I, for one do not believe in losing courage. Despite all the ups and downs,  I keep going. Though  the spirit is slightly tamed by time and the energy level have eroded, but I'm now less stressed..  Now I'm wiser. After doing my best, any failure has  to do with  the Will of God. I have achieved enough for me to begin  picking the fruits I so earnestly sowed but I'm taking it easy, allowing God to lead the way. Destiny and God's plans has a stronger say than my own wishes and plans.

People always say, destiny is in your own hands-get out there and transform your life. But how do you explain the times -that despite your utmost, you hit the brick wall time and again? The engine stalls. How do you explain the  sometimes  we get  lots of honey without even  working  for it but at other times ,  even though we put in so much energy, we end up bitter and frustrated? Life is pretty unpredictable. How do you explain sudden transformations along the way? Suddenly the good turns  negative without warning? Similarly , the negative just turn gloriously positive without explanation and over night  you rose up many notches?.God driving the engine? The effects of planetary movements? Remember, that too requires Higher Powers.

I'm not sure what plans God has got for me. I'm after all, already  walking into the rays of the evening sun and liking the serenity, but as  human are, anxieties always persist.. But I guess, I must continue to trust and believe. I have not stopped working hard. and certainly do not believe in coming to a full stop in the middle of a journey and sit waiting for manna to drop from the sky. I believe God does not want lazy bones for his children. Tomorrow could be glorious and mighty brilliant if He so decides. He could still surprise and delight me at this late hour. Let him take the lead. Let His Will direct the way. If He wants to lead me through pastures of relaxation, there must be a reason for it, so be it. He provides. I am, all of us are after all,  in a temporal zone. Our visas has an  expiry date. We're not in the ultimate driver's seat, so what is there to stress about when you are not even in control? Just do our part to the best of  our capability, pray and leave the rest to Him..  I believe, so long as there is a breathe, there is hope and a future and I must continue to walk in the green pastures of Faith. Time has proven that God does the impossible. Testimonies have attested that prayers could change destiny for the better. If you have His favour, you will have the faith that move mountains and everything will end well ultimately. .

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside quiet waters..Psalm 23:1.
