Another great fellowship by SCM!!. It's the Father's day weekend and what better time to honour the Fathers and Grandfathers of every household than on this occasion!

At the Lourdes hall, it was fun fellowship time with lots of happy wishes and handshakes for the menfolk.Plenty of laughters and would you believe it-giggles too!! And no fellowship is complete without good satisfying food! Come on, don't stand on ceremony, let's dig in!! Hei, slow down you guys, hold your stomachs, Fr. Michael has not blessed the food yet !! He's joining us this time? No lah!  He is committed to another event but he will share some interesting catechetics on pilgrimages.before he goes to his other commitment.. He is? Yes, this is the year of the Faith- remember and pilgrimages are a great way to strengthen faith and  little catechetics are certainly helpful, a must, especially since another  pilgrimage is on  the cards...a 3D/2N trip to Malacca on 28th June. Feast day of St. Peter & St. Paul.  Definitely, the Rev shared  a wealth of information on how we should be looking at pilgrimages if the spirit and the soul is to gain max out of devotional trips. You have to be focus on the purpose of making such pilgrimages and its value plus gains on  faith formation- the strengthening of you own faith.

Birthday celebrants May & June

Earlier, after the evening's mass celebrations,  all  family Fathers  were invited to the front -before the holy altar for the traditional shower of blessings and praying over. Kind of touching to see all the greys and not so greys  receiving their blessings. Whether you are young or old, the feelings of being cherish is a wondrous thing.

There was also a birthday cum Father's Day cake for Fathers and   those  born in the month of May & June.  Lovely cake it was too!! See the birthday babies for yourselves!!

Besides getting more updates on the Malacca pilgrimage, seniors were also notified by SCM Chairman Chacko Daniel on  the feast of St. Anthony celebrated on Carey Island on 23rd June .Those who wish to go are advised to notify the committee. Car pooling could be arranged with the assistance of those going.
