The waters of life that is the Word of the Lord God

Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give to him shall never thirst again..John 4:13

I pondered and I wondered at the power of the words. Water, does it mean the Lord himself? Accepting Him into our lives, emulating his ways? Being baptised in His holy name?

Then it dawned on YT, it is more than that. It's drinking in the very essence of his teachings, actively practising it  -the Word of God. You may be Christian but if you do not follow his teachings, you are nothing-just a label.

His teachings are evergreen, everliving , growing, getting more radiant, with the advancing times. It was relevant during His time 2000 years ago and now more than ever, it continues to guide and show us the way out of our many troubles and predicament .If you drink of the knowledge that he imparts, brother, you have enlightenment and you will never flounder around in the dark any longer. .

And yet how many  heed his words and apply it to their daily living? I have read some best sellers...One thing I noticed,  the authors have based many of their "secrets" on the teachings of the Lord.. They become best selling authors and they make a fortune out of what we already have in our Bible!! Shocked? Surprised? Haha!!

Some have discovered the Kingdom of God in their midst, many still seeking. Even those who have discovered the brilliance of the Kingdom of God  gets muddled by the confusion of the living world after some time, and like Peter, start to sink. Some may not have the Lord to bring them back to the surface..and so loose what they have gained and went back to blindness. The more fortunate ones, through daily prayers and devotion to God stay on the surface and keep  walking in the correct paths. The grace of God!

It is a continuous battle to keep our balance . Only one man - the divine person of the Son of God can provide us with that balance. He has left us a rich legacy-great   wealth- the way into the Kingdom of God. The only condition is -Drink of the waters of  life Worthily,  that it's spring may preserve you and  you  never thirst again.
