Exam nerves

What is tertiary education in the minds and eyes of people? To you it may mean, a path to a change in career, or climbing up that first rung of the ladder. To me, it may mean, the thrill of just gaining more knowledge, being immersed in the world of words, and texts, extra..

But examination is another thing. You need great practice and good knowledge to be productive. Not all brilliant minds score in examinations. You may have the facts, but the pressure of the exams may just reduce you to a heap of nerves and suddenly, the solid facts fled and the rumblings take over. Sure rumblings can turn magnificent  after calm sets in and the facts return ; unfortunately, in an examination, time is not on your side and you  need clarity and focus right from the start. That can only come from plenty of exam practices, work and work on those exercise questions which comes after each lesson. Experience is a great instructor.  Love of reading and an inquisitive mind helps in the learning process. Keeps the bore and the snore away.

Whatever your aspirations, whatever your reason for taking that tertiary or postgraduate step, the ultimate still  lies in the attainment of a good grade and the certification of achievement. Make no mistake about that. Your time is no more your own, friends, activities must take a step back-studies has taken ownership of that part of your existence, at least until that phase is over.

Eureka for the time being until the next semester starts. Now the time to cross fingers and wait.  .Prayers good people??
